Baumgartner is Associate Pediatric Neurosurgeon at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, Texas. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, majoring in microbiology as an undergraduate. He received an exchange scholarship to Cambridge University in England and studied pharmacology and genetics. Upon completion of his Master’s Degree, he returned to the University of Michigan, graduating from medical school in 1985. Dr. Baumgartner completed his internship in surgery, residency in neurosurgery and a fellowship in pediatric neurosurgery at the University of California in San Francisco.
